"In October 2009, I traveled to Switzerland with Backpacker Magazine to hike a particularly stunning segment of the Via Alpina, a route spanning 8 countries and 3,100 miles. These shots depict the Bernese Oberland region, which contains the country´s most famous mountain landscapes. The weather blessed us: Instead of enduring early-winter snowstorms, we were treated to warm temps and uninterrupted sunshine."
